Hello Students, Parents and Community,
I’m Josh Guthrie and I am your new music director. I was very pleased to meet many of you briefly at the close of school and I’m very excited to meet the rest of you as we get started with the 2012-13 year. This program has many strengths: outstanding students, musicians, teachers, traditions and opportunities. I hope everyone will take full advantage of what we have to offer here at FA and become the best musicians that you can be. The change in the way Concert Band is scheduled opens it to all students all year. I hope to see it grow in numbers as we move forward.
I am very excited to work and play with all of you. This is your band, your orchestra, your choir and your school and I’m looking forward to becoming a part of it.
If you have been a part of the music program in the past, I hope you’ll stay with us. If you have not been in the program so far, I hope you’ll give it a try. This program is open to everyone.
